Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985 in New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her ability to act across different genres such as the period dramas through thrillers to action films. Johansson daughter of an architect and a producer, was born in New York City. Hunter, the sister of Johansson was born in New York City. As a child, she began acting. At the age of 7 she was already auditioning for a number of commercials. Her interest in acting grew quickly and she enrolled immediately to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Johansson made her debut an actress on film in North (1994) at the age of nine. When she was eight years old, she appeared with Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson was later seen in Just Cause (1995), her debut occurred through Manny & Lo a coming of age movie about two sisters who run away. The Horse Whisperer (1998) Johansson, who plays a teenaged girl with facial disfigurement, received praise from critics.
